Anthony Raya grew up in Southern California and is now a Las Vegas based freelance drummer. He started playing drums at age 5, influenced heavily by his father’s love of Classic Rock bands like Queen, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and more. After high school Anthony attended the Percussion Institute of Technology at Musicians Institute and graduated in 2008. The following years would see Anthony gigging with various original and cover bands including Midnight Satellites, Woody and theHarrelsons, Cecilio & Kapono, and more. In 2012 Anthony auditioned for the pioneering ska-core band Voodoo Glow Skulls and toured with them for two years. In 2014, Anthony relocated to Las Vegas and began working steadily with dozens of bands and production shows, including All Shook Up: A Tribute to the King, Country Superstars Tribute, World’s Greatest Rock Show, Legends in Concert, the Jupiter Year, JV All Stars, Überschall and many more. Anthony plans on wrapping up 2017 gigging with at least 6 different bands, and on 3 different production shows. In 2018, aside from freelance work, Anthony is planning a national tour with new hard rock outfit Code Red Riot, who recently signed to Sony’s Century Media Label.
